Executive Summary

Leigh Ann has spent her entire career of 25 years in the post-acute space; working to ensure clinical integration; with compassionate care and compliance at the core of the delivery of rehabilitative services to support operational initiatives.  She started as a treating therapist splitting her time between acute care and skilled nursing facilities when she quickly realized her passion was teaching and training clinicians about best practices, regulatory compliance, documentation and billing.  She moved through various operational and clinical positions eventually becoming the Executive Vice President of Rehabilitative Services for a large therapy provider and then the Chief Clinical Officer for that same company.  Seeing the opportunity to help a variety of providers handle the need for clinical integration in the changing world of healthcare reform initiatives, she decided to start a consulting practice.  Her goal is to help providers along the continuum be successful in this ever changing landscape.

Leigh Ann was instrumental in growing her previous employer from a $3 million dollar a year company to over $130 million in revenue through clinical programming and an effective compliance and regulatory program to support an excellent operations team.  As the Executive Vice President of Rehabilitation Services she led over 4500 clinicians servicing approximately 250 customers and impacting 240,000 residents per year.  As the Chief Clinical Officer, Leigh Ann lead a team who provided clinical and regulatory support across 550 contracts, supporting over 7000 clinicians to ensure every moment of treatment provided was efficient and effective; maintaining the patient goals at the center of the treatment plan and participating in healthcare reform initiatives.

Throughout Leigh Ann’s career, she has been a successful contributor and presenter at both the state and national levels; having been requested to speak to groups at Ohio Health Care, Virginia Healthcare, Leading Age National and Leading Age South Carolina/Georgia to name a few.  She has been  highly active in the trade association, NASL (National Association for the Support of Long Term Care), as a Board Member in 2016 and named as “Member” of the Year for 2015 along with a group of her peers who worked on the Outcomes Initiatives collaboratively with the American Healthcare Association and again in 2017 individually.  Leigh Ann has been a member of the APTA since 1993, is a member of AANAC and received her RAC-CT© in December 2016.

Personally, Leigh Ann is active in her community in a variety of ways, having served on the board of Rosewood House of Recovery and supporting community initiatives such as The Peace Center for the Performing Arts and the Greenville Humane Society.  She also serves on the Ohio University School of Physical Therapy Alumni Board.  She is an avid runner and completed her third marathon in New York City in November 2016; running in support of the ALS Foundation.
